Who in your current WiP is most dramatic?

Haha, another good one for the superhero WiPs! Bruce always has a flair for the dramatic. :) In my current WiP, Kevin is low-key super dramatic, though he doesn't show it a lot.

I finished another chapter! Hoping to find a little more time to write next week... hope all is going well with you all!

--Who is the character in your latest WiP most likely to get away with murder?

Of course, with our WiPs it's moderately likely to be someone who already HAS gotten away with murder! Wait, can you say that Lex Luthor has "gotten away with murder" when Superman literally always catches him? Obviously if he were to murder someone (not that he would) Clark would be very likely to get away with it, as a body thrown into the sun doesn't leave much evidence behind...

I've been getting some good progress made this week! Maybe I have my mojo back. Neither of my current protagonists is very likely to get away with murder; they're not dumb people, but I think they lack the planning and ruthlessness to cover their tracks. How are your characters?

Who is the character in your latest WiP who is most likely to live the longest?

Oh, well, I'm looking at those superhero stories and thinking about how Clark's hypothetical immortality is one of my absolute favorite sources of angst! I love that so much. Who's going to outlive the people they love in your WiP?

(I went to post this last week and I guess never hit the "post" button? My bad!

--Which character from your WiP is most likely to die?

Ah, I don't like this one! Especially since my characters are based very much on real people. I guess Kevin is slightly more likely, since he's struggled with his weight more and that might reduce his life expectancy slightly? They're the same age and have the same (dangerous) job, so those won't make much difference... But it won't be part of my book, so I don't have to worry about it! How about you, is your WiP likely to touch on this or is it likely to stay hypothetical?

--Who is the richest character in your WiP?

Well, on the superhero side it's kinda gotta be Bruce! Though really Clark, of course, has limitless wealth and the ability to make as many diamonds as he likes, he's just in such a different realm (and he never would, so "rich" doesn't really apply!)

In the wrestling world, Sami is probably richer than Kevin because they make about the same amount, but Sami still drives a 25-year old car while Kevin buys a new one every other year, plus he likes to buy his wife Chanel things (she put up with many years of grinding poverty so he likes to pamper her now!)

Who's the richest in your WiP? (This time I assume it can't be the puppy, Bradygirl!)

--Who in your current WiP is most likely to get bat shit drunk?

On the superhero side, I've always written Clark as unable to get drunk (though there are always ways around that!)

In my current work, it would have to be Kevin because Sami is a devout Muslim and thus doesn't drink at all. But Kevin's not very likely either, he doesn't drink much at all. They're surrounded by other characters who are extremely likely to, though! So spill--who's most likely to drink too much, and what kind of drunk are they?

Hi everyone, I am so so sorry I disappeared off the face of the earth for a while there. My mother had surgery in late August, and shortly after that had a catastrophic aneurysm with no hope of recovery, so for a couple of weeks there was a mad scramble to hurry back to keep vigil at her deathbed and say goodbye, then getting everything in order, arranging the funeral, dealing with the emotional fallout. It's taken a huge amount of energy and I'm just barely starting to get my feet back under me on this, the exact one-month anniversary of her death. But I have missed talking about WiPs with you and hearing your updates.

I'm going to save a specific question for next week since this is a fairly heavy post, and instead I'll just ask: how is it going? Has the last month been kind to you and to your current WiP?

--Who in your current WiP is most likely to become famous?

This one made me laugh because I'm pretty sure that in most of our WiPs the characters are ALREADY famous! Both of my main characters certainly are... I suppose, ironically, in the early years of the story they are two of the least likely in the world around them (their body type is not a typically successful wrestlers'!) But it has worked out for them...

I've got some guesses about who's most likely to be famous in any fic involving Lois and Clark! :)

--Who in your current WiP is most likely to get in a street fight?

Ha! You'd think a professional wrestler would be, and some are, but my two are kind of famous for being useless in any actual fight, it's all in the theatrics for them. <3 Who's scrapping it up in your WiP?

--Which character in your current WiP is most emotional?

I'm back to my biography (but I miss fic!) and it's funny because the two wrestlers I'm writing about, of the characters one of the two is the most emotional. But of the real people, it's exactly the opposite, I think. That ties into a lot of my theories about the two of them, I tend to feel like they base their characters on each other, so the character is like an idealized mix of themselves and what they admire about the other person.

Who's getting emotional in your writing this week?

Who from your current WiP is most romantic?

That's funny because the exchange fic I JUST posted ends with someone telling the POV character that's she's very romantic and her telling them she'll rip their arms off if they tell anyone else. :) They're right, though, she's got a secretly mushy heart.

I'm really happy to have that done and I was pleased with the results of writing fiction for the first time in a long time! Who's being romantic in your current WiP?

--Opposite of last week, who is most confident in your WiP?

In mine, it's the main POV character, which is fun! She's super-confident and the leader of her little group. She's the only one who's a champion right now and starts off the story trying to summon a demon because she wants a demonic servant. And she ends it wrestling a dinosaur, so she has reason to be confident!

How about you, who's feeling cool and confident and why?

--Who in your current WiP is most insecure?

Oh, interesting question! In my current WiP there are a lot of possibilities, because I'm writing from the POV of a group of bad guys. But they're fighting some other bad guys, and I think the most insecure is actually one of the guys they're fighting, because he's older and feels like he's washed-up. This has led to being able to write some fun jabs and jibes from my POV heroine!

I love writing insecure people, honestly. Who have you got?

<i>--Most athletic person in your current WiP?</i>

Hey, I'm actually working on a fic this week! But it's still wrestling, which means there really is no shortage of athleticism to choose from. A real embarrassment of riches. If we're talking strength, it's probably the guy who is considered a canonical dinosaur (big guy!) Agility and acrobatic ability, it's probably the guy who's a demon. (I have a feeling with superhero canons this is a tough question too! What does "athletic" mean when you have characters that can move moons?)

Who from your current WiPis most likely to kill someone on purpose?

Last week was by accident, this week is on purpose! Uh, it's a tough one because there are a couple of very minor characters in my history who have actually literally killed people, though I try very hard to minimize their role in the story. Of the more major characters, Kevin and Sami have a few opponents earlier in their career against some pretty iffy people...

Who's the most likely to kill someone on purpose in your wip, and would they be justified? :)

My list of WiP questions has shifted to "Tell me which character in your current WiP is most likely to..." and they seemed funny and maybe interesting, so I'm going to go along with it!

<i>Which character in your current WiP is most likely to kill someone by accident?"</i>

I really wanted it to be one of the more minor characters, but... it's probably Kevin, because he has a variety of really dangerous wrestling moves that very much risk killing someone! He doesn't use most of them anymore now that he's older, but at the time I'm writing about he was hurling people head-first into ringposts on the regular.

Hope your writing and your life are going well!

--What's your favorite character arc in your current WiP?

Oh, I like this question! Mine's definitely Sami Zayn, who goes from awkward and tryhard to, well, an awkward tryhard who's also more confident and at peace with himself, lol. He basically realizes people like him when he's awkward and it's okay to lean into it and be himself!

Who is getting a good character arc in your work?

What's the most intense scene to write so far in your wip?

Oooh, most of the intensity is still in the future for me! So far it's probably--ironically--been a scene that takes place after my main characters leave the ring and thus the scene, where a wrestler with a cut forehead is hoisted upside down above the ring and his blood rains down on the other wrestlers, soaking everyone. That moment ended up getting censored and I just happened across one of the pre-censored versions, and it's as gory as it sounds.

Hope you'ev got some intense moments to write of your own--intense in the right ways, of course!

What are a couple of songs you associate with this WiP?

I don't know if you're one of those writers that tends to have playlists for ships or stories, but if you are! I definitely am, so I almost always have songs to fit the tone. Right now I'm listening to a lot of "Footprints" by Tiesto ("We live forever wherever we go Leaving footprints all over the world"), Brett's "On the Rise" ("Offer me a second's rest I can't I'd just as soon drop dead") and Michl's "Everything'll Change" ("So we're banging the door and we're pleading for more") Lots of anthem-y dance-y music! How about you, what music is motivating you right now?

Give a brief description of the main characters in your current WiP.

I haven't gotten much work done on the book this week thanks to actual paid word (booooo). I'm going to try and set aside a couple of hours this evening, though. To focus on personality, my book is mostly about:

Sami Zayn: passionate, absent-minded, adventurous, creative, garrulous, socially awkward Syrian-Canadian redhead.
Kevin Owens: meticulous, reserved, thoughtful, secretly mushy and romantic, abrasive, fiercely protective French-Canadian.

I need the real world to get off my case for a few days! Hope you have writing time!
