What are a couple of songs you associate with this WiP?

I don't know if you're one of those writers that tends to have playlists for ships or stories, but if you are! I definitely am, so I almost always have songs to fit the tone. Right now I'm listening to a lot of "Footprints" by Tiesto ("We live forever wherever we go Leaving footprints all over the world"), Brett's "On the Rise" ("Offer me a second's rest I can't I'd just as soon drop dead") and Michl's "Everything'll Change" ("So we're banging the door and we're pleading for more") Lots of anthem-y dance-y music! How about you, what music is motivating you right now?

Swing music from the '40s! Since I'm writing in that era, Glenn Miller and Benny Goodman are the guys with the beat, hep cat! 😝

I definitely have playlists for my ships but not always for every story. Whenever I am writing Smallville Clark I do think of "Superman" by Five For Fighting, since I feel like those lyrics apply to him a lot (I can't stand to fly/I'm not that naive/I'm just out to find the better part of me). For my role reversal fic, while I do think "Halo" by Beyonce (Remember those walls I built/baby you tore them down) always works for Lois, I think it especially works in that story, where she thinks she doesn't need anyone and Clark somehow gets under her skin anyway.
