--Do you balance fic writing with original concept stuff?

I find that a hard balance, I think! I used to not write ANYTHING original, then for a while balanced fic and original nonfiction, but recently the nonfiction has kind of taken over. Maybe the balance is tougher between nonfiction and fiction rather than transformative versus original? Because I've never written original fiction, so I can't speak to that.

Are any of you plunging into NaNoWriMo or Yuletide? If so, I wish you the very best!

I think I've struck a good balance. While I'm working more often on original fic, I still have fanfic ideas popping up. Fanfic relaxes me whereas original fic is intended for publication, so that's a little more stressful. :)
