--How long did it take (to finish the draft/idea//get to your current stage)?

Well, about 7 years of research that I didn't really realize was research! I've gotten almost 6 chapters in now (out of probably 30) and I've been writing seriously on it for about 3 months, so that's not so bad. I know some of you have some WiPs that are clocking similarly long prep times!

Not long. Both my fanfic and original fic require research but I'm doing that as I go. I know most of the historical details, anyway. ☺️

Life is research! By the time I get around to writing something I tend to have done all the research just for the fun of it, I think we're really similar that way!

It is nice when something you spent that long on can come in useful!

For my current WIP, while I saw the idea a long time ago, it took about six months once I decided to write it for it to come to anything but it has been trudging along slowly since. I'm hoping this is the year it gets completed! I posted 3 chapters and I think I have maybe 6-7 left.
