Open Thread: Oracle Hotline

How did you come up with the title for your current WiP?

For a change my title came easy! There's a common wrestling chant that goes "Fight forever!" when two wrestlers are having a great match, and a friend of mine once made art using that phrase over images of my OTP. So now I get to use that as the cover! Assuming she completes the re-vamping of it...

Also, canon has been kind, kind, kind to me this week! The last big wrestling show ended with one half of my OTP standing up to a gang of bullies for the other, and then both of them getting beaten down and left broken in the ring, scattered with scarlet flowers. It was very poetic, and they're going to team up now after years and years, and it's going to be great! (Barring injuries). May canon be as kind to you and your WiPs!

This was an easy one for my current WIP. I wrote an opening poem for Chapter 1 that I felt encompassed the symbolism for the entire series and took it from that for the series title: Sparkling Stars. The subtitle for this particular installment was easy, too, since the story deals with torture and its aftereffects: Broken.

This latest installment is multi-chaptered and all I worked on the month of January when it came to fanfic. I might have a couple of Valentine's Day ideas now, one including SuperBat! :)

Yay for canon being kind and the title coming to you easily! Titles and summaries always feel like a struggle. :D

For most of my titles, I use song lyrics or some theme/important line and the current WIP is no different, though I mixed a few songs and it got long. If I did it again, I would probably find a way to edit and shorten it. :D
