--Worst qualities about your current PoV character?

Oh, still kind of on Kevin Owens, I'll probably switch to Sami at some point but not yet! Kevin's worst qualities are probably a level of sloth and stubbornness. He doesn't really like to try new things and can be very pig-headed at times and get into a personal rut. I empathize!

I don't know anything about Kevin but I also relate.

Clark's worst qualities (might be Smallville specific) are that he has a hard time letting people in, can be stubborn, and blames himself for everything. Lois is also pretty stubborn and can be reckless too.

True! I think with his age and the fact he only learned began to the depth of his own past in the pilot, I always understood his reluctance to tell other people his secret. Besides, it's his secret so you know, he doesn't actually owe it to anyone. And it is great when he is comfortable enough to let Lois in- it does nicely parallel all the other relationships in his life.

I always found the attitude that Clark is obligated to tell people his secret on the show to be annoying. Considering the SV universe, his secret being out could have made him end up a Government lab rat or worse, a Lionel captive! And his parents would have been 'disappeared', too, so, yeah, I can see why he'd stay mum.

I feel the same way. I know he was an obvious, terrible liar, but he was also supposed to be, what, 14/15 in season 1? He was going to make some mistakes. It was a huge risk, not only for him, but as you said, for his parents and also everyone else who was tied to him. That was why Jonathan was so paranoid. How could a small town farmer protect his son if things went wrong?

Jonathan often gets a raw deal from SV fans. He did the right thing protecting his son. I'm a Clex fan, but I can see why he was wary of Lex. Lionel was dangerous, and Jonathan didn't know Lex well.

True. I think the problem with Jonathan was his inconsistency regarding Lex. Sometimes, he seemed to warm up and then his guard went back up again. His protectiveness was understandable. I don't have any kids but I definitely believe that if some 20 year old was hanging around my teenage son, especially one with a secret like Clark's, I don't think I would've reacted well either.

Quinton McHale again. Probably a bad quality would be his tendency to give his men a little too much leeway. Well, since he's as likely to drink booze from the still or shoot craps, he can't come down on them too hard, can he? 😆

Man, time flies! The other well-known PT boat skipper, JFK, was killed 59 years ago today. 🥺

Oh, yes, Captain Binghamton did not approve! 😝
