--favourite quote by a character in your WiP?

I suppose this could either be a quote within your WiP or a quote in canon that's inspiring your current WiP! For me it can be both because the WiP is a history--there's a line that gets repeated through the decades with my two favorites, said by one or the other at different moments of triumph: "This is ours." It's definitely become one of the major themes of the story for me.

I'm feeling sad this week because the Yuletide pinch hits are coming out and I've been too busy to do Yuletide for a while! It's always been one of my favorite fannish things but the autumns are just impossible.

Tee hee, this comes from my canon source and inspired my current WIP about a haunted boat. 👻 🚤 👻

Bummer about Yuletide, but better than signing up and having to drop out. Buck up, kiddo! You can read the fics after reveals, though of course it isn't the same as writing some yourself. 🎄 📝 🎄

Haunted boat! I approve of haunted boats! And it's true, reading fic for tiny fandoms of my heart is always fun! Christmas is even on a weekend this year so I might have some time to do it!

I like giving Lois some lines of wisdom that are somewhat sympathetic but also blunt, which feel true to character. In my fake dating fic, she tells Clark that, "if it is worth it, then it’s also worth fighting for", which will come back into play later on in the story.

The holidays bring up so many challenges! It's hard to find time for them all, but it is disappointing when you can't be apart of an old favorite like Yuletide.
