superhero_muses--Do you want your writing to be famous?
"Famous," maybe not (too much pressure!) However, "well-known in its niche," I have to admit that's appealing. You want the people who you admire and respect to know about your work!
Classes started this week, so even my small bits of productivity are gone now, alas. My piece is betaed, but I haven't had time to go over it and make the tweaks necessary to post it! Wish me luck on managing that in the next week...

Date: 2022-04-18 02:12 am (UTC)If I was a professional writer, yes, I would like my writing to be famous. Not to the extremes of JKR or George RR Martin, but I would definitely want to be popular enough so my books can get a movie or TV deal and I can live more than comfortably doing what I love.
Since I write fanfic, definitely not. Of course comments are fun but I've never wanted to be a BNF. Sounds exhausting and I hate the idea of people fawning over me. It makes me very uncomfortable. I don't like the idea of any sort of hierarchy in fandom in general. I just want to do my thing and have other people like it and have fun exchanges with people who like similar things that I do.
