If I was a professional writer, yes, I would like my writing to be famous. Not to the extremes of JKR or George RR Martin, but I would definitely want to be popular enough so my books can get a movie or TV deal and I can live more than comfortably doing what I love.
Since I write fanfic, definitely not. Of course comments are fun but I've never wanted to be a BNF. Sounds exhausting and I hate the idea of people fawning over me. It makes me very uncomfortable. I don't like the idea of any sort of hierarchy in fandom in general. I just want to do my thing and have other people like it and have fun exchanges with people who like similar things that I do.
