--Do you accept prompts?

I assume this means something like "Do you often write to prompts?" Generally no--especially with comic book fandom, canon tends to provide enough inspiration. With other fandoms I have the desire to write but I'm not sure what exactly, or it's such a small fandom that I'd like to know someone wants to see something, so I will go looking for prompts!

I have gotten no writing done this week and am feeling pretty awful about it! The end of the semester crunch hit me hard and my parents have been having eye problems, which between worrying about them and talking to them has taken a lot of energy and time on my part. I keep planning to put time aside to write and then working and working and then it's bedtime! My fourth-year students are coming over for lunch in a couple of hours and I'm REALLY hoping to put aside an hour after they're gone and finally get through some more of a chapter. Cleaning up can wait, right? Right.

*many hugs*

I am in much the same boat with output. Its not all down to the injury and work, my social life has also made a comeback. Having no writing time sucks, but having the friend who got me the job back in my life is a blessing.

Even though I am writing original fic, I happily, eagerly, desperately accept prompts. Even if I don't fill them all or in a timely manner, I love bouncing ideas off of others and the extra push to finish something because I know someone wants it gives me lots of happiness. And the little prompted pieces have helped a lot with solving some of the greater mysteries of the narrative

Not anymore. I used to when I wrote fanfic but since I write original fic I don't. I do, however, check out anthologies people are putting together and consider writing stories for them. Haven't sent any of the stories out but I'm working on getting over the fear there. *wry smile* And prompt tables and lists are lovely for coming up with ideas of what to write next when I want to do something random.

I did reasonably well this week on the writing. Not as many words as I wanted on two of the days but I still got 13,000 words written. I'm working on a new novella and its about 3/4 done even though I started it this week. :D

Good luck carving out some time for writing!
