--what genre is your current WiP in?

Oh, well, that's easy--Mad Max-style apocalyptic wasteland! I'm done with the battle scene and just need to write the denouement, which I think I'll get to today. Which is good because it's due the 9th! And I'd be willing to write up to the wire a little more, but I get my second vaccine shot the 8th (yay!) and am unwilling to risk being too sick to get it finished up. By next week I'll either be working on some treats or will be back to my more usual fare!

How about you, what genres are you dabbling in right now? It's unusual I'm not writing romance--this story has a romance between secondary characters in it, but it's most definitely not a romance itself...

My current genre is horror, which is unusual for me since I'm not a big horror fan (I prefer the classics from the '30s, without buckets of blood!), but Evil has got me hooked. It's clever and engaging and a challenge to keep up the quality in fanfic.

I haven't been writing much romance lately, either. Could I be burnt out? Or maybe just dormant. :)

Classic horror is so much fun, though! And written horror is such a different thing than visual horror, because the audience has to get drawn in and do the visual work themselves, if that makes sense...

My current WIP (fanfic) is a wuxia story heavy with grief, hurt/comfort and rebuilding the world. My current WIPs (original) are SF romance, Fantasy and a nonfic that I really need to get back to writing sometime soon.

Though I am pondering a fanfic that crosses The Untamed with Batman because how cool would it be to have immortal cultivators from The Untamed be the ones who trailed Bruce during his seven years off traveling the world? The idea's kind of eating my brain in the background right now.

Your Mad Max story sounds so cool--congrats on getting through the battle scene and good luck on finishing it up in time! Do make sure to get it done before the second shot. It kicked everyone's butts that I know, including me.

I did end up losing a day to the second shot, and it would have been really hard to get it posted, so I'm relieved I got it done! (And also very relieved to be fully vaccinated, yay!)

I was going to maybe guess The Untamed before the read the rest of your message! I'm halfway through it right now myself, and I would 100% love the idea of a Batman/Untamed crossover, what a great idea!
