What was your writing challenge this week? I'm so rusty that plotting is not coming easily to me... for a while now I've been doing recaps of other people's plots and I've lost the ability to concoct my own! I had to go back and add a plot element to some earlier scenes so the later ones would work (literally a piece of Kryptonite), but hopefully it'll bump along better now...

Hmm, I guess I could say my writing challenge this week was to keep the plot moving forward. I have a good idea of future chapters, but the ideas are not completely solid. I thought I could wrap things up in six chapters, but looks like it'll be at least eight. :)

That's kind of where I am with my original fic, too. How to wrap things up? Some ideas, but still kind of nebulous. Yeesh!

Kryptonite always moves things along! ;)

Funny you should say that! Yesterday I got an idea of how to do just that. See, just wait, and all good writing things come! ;)

My writing challenge this week has been time and brain. I'm back working full time in the office (boo~!) and it's sucking a lot more brain that I expected. And time. But I'm managing to get at least a few hundred words every day.

The short story challenge is still going, so that's good, but I've got 1 fanfic (Harry Potter year 3), a SF novel and a nonfic book on Auditing that are kind of bumbling along. I really want to finish things and just need brain and time to do it.

*sigh*

Good luck with the plotting! Remember, you can always go back and add more things to the plot. You're unstuck in time, grandly bouncing along through the timeline of your story and adding whatever you want to it whenever you see the need. :D

Oh, man, yeah, it's like a muscle that needs training, plotting and every other stage of writing, really.

I'm still down for plotting, but the sitting down and churning out the first draft is something that's not been coming easily for me recently. I know I only have to push out that first draft to get to the stage where I can work it over into something better, but I just keep getting lost in the details and then get stuck. :P But flashficcing has helped a bit with that.
