--Is your current PoV character more optimistic or pessimistic?

Clark Joseph Kent, sunny farmgirl with a heart of gold and boundless faith in humanity? Hmmm...

Though more seriously, I've always felt like Clark has a definite pessimist's streak under all the cheer, and Bruce has a hidden optimistic tendency under the gloom. It's what keeps both of them going: Clark's pessimistic streak keeps him grounded and realistic, while Bruce's secret optimism keeps him from wallowing in nihilism.

I got a few paragraphs written this week and am going to buckle down and write a few more right now, as a matter of fact! Last time I sat down to write I got distracted by looking for a name for an OC, which is always a huge time-sink for me. She's got like three lines! Pick a name and move on!

Pfft, I think I missed a couple of these due to getting distracted. There is far too much to distract me right now. *sighs*

My two POV characters (I'm switching back and forth) are neither optimistic or pessimistic--They're fiercely determined! One is stubbornly going to fix the world no matter what it takes and the other has decided that he will have faith that things will work out while working relentlessly to make sure it happens. Which is fun to play off of as I bounce back and forth between them. :D

I've been doing pretty good on the writing, about a chapter a day, until last night when I got distracted by being Very Grumpy at a fanfic which was not written right. You know, not the way I wanted it written. e_e <--at myself. I've put that down and decided not to finish it because halfway through it, nothing had improved and yeah, better things to spend my time on than skimming through a fic that was increasingly annoying me.

That's an interesting question.

Lois is my current POV character, and I'd say she's a born pessimist, but after meeting Superman, well, she just might be becoming an optimist. :) In the story she's with Wonder Woman on Paradise Island, so some optimism might be at work there, at least for women's rights. ;)
