--What was the inspiration for your current WiP?

Haha, it mostly was a random joke going around that wrestling would be cooler if the person who won a title got to have sex with the loser as a prize, and it morphed a bit from there. I would rally like to get on top of my schoolwork and maybe add some work to it, as it's a WiP that has languished for over a year now, alas.

What specific has inspired what you're working on this week?

Oh, goodness! I've got five? Six WIP, currently? My ability to focus on one project has been just shattered by the Covid thing. So, since these are all things I've worked on this week, flitting about like a word-writing butterfly...

Out of Time: It's the third in a series of romance novels based around trips I've taken to Japan. I think, maybe, it's the end of this series as the fourth character is aro/ace and, well, no romance is going to happen there.

The Curse of the Blank Page: a friend on Discord made a jokey comment about writing a story about the curse of the blank page and putting cats in it and this idea just bloomed in my head about a curse that made a library of books go blank and it's tied to cats as the key to get the words back and here I am writing it.

Taste of a Scandal: There's an anthology call for cozy romances that's due on 7/15 and I wanted to write a story for it. That's it, that was the inspiration. Now I just have to finish it.

The Power of One Word: I wrote a Harry Potter fic for a big bang (A Certain Level of Society--up on AO3 now) and had fun with it. It was based in book 1 of the HP series. So, since it's an annual bang, I decided to do a Book 2 story which kicked off from chapter 1 of the book and changed things from there. Specifically, Harry says No and means it and sticks with it and it changes everything.

The Stars Above: Heh, I saw a picture of Neville Longbottom's actor, all grown up and naked to the waist and dayum! Harry/Neville story bloomed in my head and is now heading straight for another massive epic with time travel and soul bonds and all sorts of fun stuff, even if I keep realizing that no, no I can't skip everything in that time jump. Go back and write it all.

For the record, I love the idea behind your WIP! I hope that you finish it someday!

The inspiration for my current WIP was a special about Bigfoot. Heh, heh. There's a channel that specializes in all kinds of schlocky stuff, and this was interesting.

I was pleasantly surprised that Benny and Ray V. from Due South fandom popped up, and the story idea fit them perfectly. They were my hottest pairing/fandom in the '90s, and it pleases me that I still have their voices down. O, Canada! ;)

I am witing something for an exchange right now, so that was onviously inspired by the assignment.

As for my personal projects: One is inspired by an art piece and I've been mulling it around for a long while.

And a recent one that I've been on and off working on has been inspired by a stumbling over a comics issue on a reread and thinking: "Wow, that would be such a good moment if character X were there and things spun out of control and into a different direction."
