--Favourite way to write angst?

As often as possible, but almost always with a happy ending? :) I love a lot of angst in the middle of a story, though...

I got about a thousand words of fiction written as well as a chunk of nonfiction, so it wasn't a bad week, although I'd always like some more. I hope yours was also good!

Favorite way to write angst? Usually followed by fluff! ;)

Angst goes very well with hurt/comfort.

Slow going but am posting, so that's a plus. :)

I like my angst when it comes with a huge heap of misunderstandings and - how to describe it? - I love it when the angsting character heaps the angst on themselves and yet remains a competent if unreasonable person and retains their agency. In a way I want them to try hard and do their best and yet dig their own hole deeper into the pile of misunderstandings and good or bad choices.

I do love it with bittersweetness and happy endings, but I do have a soft spot for the unhappy ending tear jerker where the angst ending is a choice and thus results from the above described keeping of agency. :P

Am I trying to write angst currently. Yes, yes, I think I am.
