--Have you ever gifted a fic to someone?

Bunches of times (both with exchanges and just as gifts...) It's the easiest way to get motivated sometimes, I think... I actually finished an exchange fic just this week and am getting ready to write another chapter of my own fic, since canon is being evocative and inspiring (by having my favorites NOT interact, which is... unusual...)

How goes the writing for you?

Only a couple of times, actually. It wasn't something I did very often at all in fandom. Of course, all my stories have dedications now but I don't know if anyone knows that I've dedicated stories to them anymore.

Writing has been slow due to lots of stuff happening, including my husband's birthday but I'm over halfway done with a new romance for the Great Novel Challenge I'm doing. I'm not quite to the halfway mark on time so that's good.

Good luck with your fic!

Lots of times! :)

I do them for gift exchanges and birthdays. ;)

It's a lot of fun to tailor something to someone's preferences. It can be very inspiring, as you say.

I might be able to post a chapter of a Han/Luke story this weekend. It's going to be brutally hot (95-100 with high humidity), so staying in A.C. will agree with me! :)

I do take part and run exchanges, so, yup. And there are random birthday present and cheer up fics. I'm writing one of those right now. It's cool to give people you have interacted with something and have a bit of a back and forth.

Gifts and deadline are great motivators, yeah!
