I've had relatives staying with me the last few weeks and lost track of time every week, but I'm back!

Name the darkest or angstiest fic you have written and/or posted?

I write a lot less dark stuff than I used to, but I feel like the darkest thing I've ever written was a short piece where Bruce slowly figures out he's not living in the Manor, but in a simulated Manor in the Fortress of Solitude, that he's got advanced Alzheimer's, and that "Clark" is actually a Superman robot to keep him company after Clark died... and that Bruce himself is the person who put it all in place so that he could continue to consult his family as his health failed. It's the cruelest thing I ever did to Bruce, worse than just killing him outright, I think.

I've gotten little scraps of writing done now that the relatives are gone--some short exchange fics. I'm trying to write something dark for an exchange that involves non-consensual activities, and that's an interesting challenge because it's been a long time since I've written anything like that (my recipient specifically said non-con was okay for this pairing; I'm not springing unwanted non-con on someone...) I hope things are going well with you? What's caught your attention in the last few weeks?

Oh, that one's easy. It's The Collar, a very fucked up Batboys fic with an unreliable narrator (Tim), sexual slavery (sort of) and Batman's death opening up Gotham to be taken over by Jason Todd. Not everything is what it seems in the fic, though. Most people who read past the earliest bits find it very satisfying by the end. Still dark as all hell, though.

Wow, yours sounds really painful. Like wibbly bottom lip territory all over the place. I've written fewer dark fics over time, too. I think you either get it out of the system or you dig into it and I got it out of my system.

Though my last novel does feature a violent popular insurrection against the rulers of a generation ship who've started implanting mind-control chips into people to keep control. No idea why I might have written something like that right now. /sarcasm Politics. I may not comment but wow, does it ever make into fic sometimes.

I've written some horror fics, usually involving Bruce/Dick or the Batfamily in general: hauntings, death, evil twists, heh heh. I wrote one in which Bruce is haunted by the spirits of his dead Robins, including Stephanie. We do like to torture Bruce, don't we? He suffers so beautifully! ;)

I'm not sure if deathfic can be classified as dark, though it certainly can be. Sometimes it's cathartic and it's mostly dealing with grief, but I tend to kill off Dick and, boy, that causes all kinds of problems!

I only occasionally write darkfic, though. I'm more of the happy, upbeat type and like to write positive stories. :)

I might actually post something this weekend. It's been crazy bizzy around here lately! Apollo/Starbuck to the rescue! :)

Oh my~ So, not only is NonConAThon going on right now, but it was the first exchange I took part in last year when I started doing exchanges. xD I dove right into the dark and nasty.

All my Berserk fics are dark, but the series is very dark so it's just how it be. I think they're all noncon too, and for exhanges. In which the requester also asked for noncon. xD I'm finishing up another such Berserk fic right now.

Most of my Rurouni Kenshin fics lean to the angsty side of things because I like including Saitou's historical background and all the sadness and loss that surrounds him and the loss of the Shinsengumi and his alcoholism. I like Saitou being a pent up man, bound by duty and desperate for another man's touch, but he keeps to himself, until Sanosuke comes along, and Sano just won't leave him alone~ And then Saitou has to deal with all of those feelings, haha!

I write a lot of dark and angsty stuff, I used to write more fluffy happy things, but then I went to the dark side. xD As for what I think is my darkest fic? A noncon fic with Dick nonconning Bruce. Poison Ivy is involved, sex pollen, Bruce is paralyzed and Dick got hit with sex pollen, and Dick always had a crush on Bruce, that Bruce would ignore... Bruce does his best to endure the attack and then holds Dick when it's all over, cause I'm mean like that.

So yeah, been writing a lot of dark fic lately. xD

Welcome back! I hope you had a god time with the relatives.

I'm closer around the corner than I usually am (in a hotel in Tokyo and will be in Osaka too. (Alas all work no play. >.< Well next to no play, I bought a Marvel shirt, photographed a Gundam and I will have terrible but colorful food in Harajuk tomorrow before I'm off to the next seminar.)

Hmm. I am always more on the bittersweet side than on the all out darkness side, but... I think it's a draw. There's the one in which I had Tony kill Hydra!Steve (and himself in the process) because he couldn't let Steve go on when he knew his real self would have wanted to be stopped; the one in which Hydra!Steve thinks he's fighting bodiless AI!Tony, mortally wound real Tony and they die or recreate the universe together; and the one in which Noir universe Tony gets injected with the Zemo formula (that turns him into deranged Hydra psycho slowly) and Steve is out there trying to find a cube locking Zemo/Tony away so he can't do harm to himself or other, not giving up, but not finding anything either... ^^;;;

So, yeah, not much darkness usually but these are all pretty bad. (Sorry, boys, I love you, but sometimes you do bring out the cruel streak in me.)

I was very preoccupied with the business trip and preparing for the seminars and projects running one after another, but I did got bits and pieces of writing done and posted and Endgame is still fueling my imagination.
