--what’s the hottest fic you have written and/or posted if you write smut at all?

I write smut, though I'm not sure of its hotness level! I generally most prefer to write very intense foreplay and then fade to black, which doesn't work for a lot of readers, but I often find the actual intercourse a bit... anticlimactic, ironically.

I'm starting a fic featuring hair-washing--a trope that I love but don't write often! A character is dying his hair and asks for some help from his friend, and it leads to lots of talking about changing who you are and their paths for the future (and hopefully some kissing as well, we'll see how they feel about it). How's your writing going this week?

Ha, that's hard to judge. :)

I'd have to say any stories I've written using BDSM. They definitely get the most hits and comments! :)

Lately I'm more of a fade-to-black writer, too, though occasionally I'll get in the mood. ;) I'm thinking of more BDSM ideas, so that's something.

I'm writing a romantic Steve/Diana story, which pleases me greatly as they've been quiet lately. There will be more Clark/Bruce, too!

Oh goodness, I used to write all the smut (including hinky things that kinda make me blush now) but most of what I write now is fade to black. The market for erotica is so touchy that I'm just not going there. It's too easy for the rules to change and a good story to get thrown off the various sales sites.

Thank goodness for AO3--I don't have to worry about that for my fanfic!

I'm at the end of a novel that I hope to finish tonight or tomorrow. It turned out to be an aro/ace romance so it's a little... different... but I like it. No idea what I'll write after that though I'm thinking more novels. I've got like a dozen I want to get written in the next year or so.

Oh fun! Hair washing with lots of feels is a terrific trope--have fun with it!

I... Hmm. Well, uh. I, uhm... Hnnn. Yes. The answer is porn. Porn is always the answer.

Well uh, I am definitely not a fade to black writer. I have 49 fics currently posted to Ao3 an uh. Well. 9 of them are not Explicit rated... So that is 40 porn fics. And well, at that point, it just depends on what you're in the mood for. I got tentacles, I got het, I got femslash, and of course I have slash, and I've got noncon, threesomes, cuckolding... If it is sex related, there is a high probability that I will write it. xD Or~ Have already written it. I don't even know which one is the hottest. I'll just say a SaitouxSanosuke one, since they're my fave. Maybe my unpublished sex scene that is 25k long. idk, I write... a ridiculous amount of porn. Ridiculous. Amounts. Of. Smut.

Between all that smut, I have written something this week, but I didn't post it to Ao3 come to think of it... Gotta edit it and do that. It was a sad SaitouxSano fic lol and I did want to make it into smut, but I resisted. But oh. The urge, it was there.

Oh, uhm, oh. I never felt like much a smut write and I'm not often interested in sex as the main event. Like you I'd say I find the build up often much more interesting than the sex.

I'd say it's Double-Blind (Get Me Back In the World) (32096 words) where there's a lot of intercourse in the lead-up to the misunderstanding and get together... Or something like mirror, mirror, on the wall (1209 words) or Get a Taste, Give a Taste (1962 words) for the imagery. :P

Writing is going both fast and slow. One day it's flowing the next I can barely concentrate. The stories are all still very much fun though, which is a good motivator. Also Endgame... distraction and inspiration all at once....
