Project: Literal Self-Insert Fic is coming along (terrifyingly) swimmingly, as this week I wrote a long Twitter thread about how the fans are going to need to save Sami's soul, and Sami liked it. Then someone made art of him based on the thread, and he also liked that. All while posting long bitter screeds on Twitter about how he hates all of his fans and how miserable he is. What the actual fuck. This is scary new horizons in fanfic, friends.

--have you ever written a holiday-centric fic?

SO MANY, because of Superman/Batman Holiday Exchange we used to have on LJ. Enough of the requests were for holiday-themed fic that I've got quite a few: Batman and Superman escaping a holiday party together, Clark playing Krampus in a holiday parade, Dick and Damian trying to chase down Jason on Christmas Eve. They're fun to write!

I hope your writing is going well and your fiction is not terrifyingly bleeding into reality (unless that's what you want!)

Ha, I remember those days! Good times every holiday season.

I've got tons of holiday stories: Halloween, Thanksgiving, Yule, Christmas, New Year's...in fact, I'll be posting a Christmas story very soon. Yep, Christmas in April! ;)

Oh my god, this whole keeps cracking me up. It sounds like the kind of fanfic where the protagonists start acting up — just that your protagonist is actually reading along. Sounds like a brave new world, indeed!

Considering how many Holiday Exchanges I took part in over the years and how many I modded/still mod, it's actually a surprisingly small number of holiday-centric fics that I wrote. (The most recent one I remember is Hydra!Cap gifting himself Tony for Christmas... so that's also not a typical fic in the holiday spirit... :P)

It has been a bit of blur and basically Endgame delivered in huge chunks the kind of fic that I would have wanted, so there is a very different but exciting overlap happening there too.

Well, I have... started a bunch of holiday fics, but I don't know if I actually finished very many, or any... Maybe some Metalocalypse ones, from way back. I'm not big on most western holidays in real life...

Oh my! Your interactions are getting intense with Sami!!! That must have been such a wild ride for you, I couldn't even imagine. xD

Well, my weekly total was on par for the previous week, 13k, and the previous week was 14k, but lol I did not write for 3 days in a row this week... Those uh, other days were pretty writing intensive. And there were plans to write 12 more fics before the end of April... At least 12 more. (Which I did succeed in doing. I wanted my Dick or Treat badges.)
