--What's motivating the POV character of your most recent WiP?

Hmmm, Mustafa wants to win a championship (surface motivations of wrestlers are so easy), but he also wants to make the world a better place and try to find a way to being one of his idols back from the dark mental space he's trapped in. He's got some high goals. I might even get around to actually writing him sometime... but not this week. I did finish the last chapter of my self-indulgent vampire fic, but I haven't posted it yet (in part because some jackass on Twitter with a lot of followers in the fannish community has discovered fanfic and is posting snippets online, fortunately at least not tagging the wrestlers in question... yet. But I'm waiting until they get bored to post the NSFW ending to this fic, even under a lock).

I hope your writing is going well and smoothly, or at least productively!

XD Chi is motivated by the twin desire to smack one of her supervisors through the floor and to ravish the other. That plus quitting her job and moving to a different one, but that's more of a dream than a real motivation.

It sounds very mundane but it's a SF story and she'd be moving to a new ship rather than a new hospital so it's kind of fun. It's for a class I'm taking and I am Very Unsure About This One, officially even. Partially because I started in one POV, realized yesterday that it was the wrong POV and had to restart it in Chi's POV. Going more smoothly now, anyway.

Ugh on the jackass on Twitter. Idiots like that need to be smacked. Hopefully he'll get bored soon and leave the fanfic alone. Like it's even news at this point, not that there's any reason to give it to the writers/directors/actors/wrestlers.

Hey, your Mustafa story sounds intriguing! And boos and hisses to the jerk on Facebook. Seriously, fandom was better off when no one knew we existed.

This has been the Week from Hell. I barely wrote a word, and my stress nearly made me pass out. It was just awful, awful, but I finally got some relief today. I was sick all last night, due to the week of stress, I'm convinced. When I go, stress will be the culprit!

My most recent WIP featured Smallville Lex as the POV, and his motivation was to help solve a typical Smallville mystery with Clark while trying to control his own curiosity about his best friend/lover. So it was fun to write him trying to be all cool and supportive. :)

Uggghhh. I know the world's stress has only gotten worse since you wrote this, but I do hope your own personal stress has gotten at least slightly better! I'm lucky--the world outside my house is awful, but having to stay in and be home is just fine with me...

Tony's motivated by the worry that he might be doing wrong by two people if he tells a secret and at the same time worries he's risking his relationship if he doesn't. So there's a lot of secrecy to be had an d maneuvering himself into tight spots, because he thinks he can just talk when the situation is all cleared up... You know. As it is.

It's not been going as smoothly as I want it to - due to work and life and stress.

I hope I can relax a bit soon and move on.

As it is! I hope he did eventually figure everything out, whether just talking managed it or not. :) And I hope life and work and stress calmed down a bit! It's been long enough it probably did, and then did not, and then did again...

I've really been struggling with writing lately and been jumping from fic to fic and even working on some original stuff, but I don't know what my last POV is anymore lol Or what the last thing I wrote was. DX I really haven't been writing prose either, just kinda writing down notes and world building, but at least I am working on something and not just staring at a blank screen. Trying to look for some positives in these bleak and dark writing times I'm in lol

Oh, I... know the feeling, haha. It's so frustrating! I hope things have gotten better for you personally (though my hopes are dim this year...)
