--Describe your most recent POV character’s bedroom. Include three cherished items.

Kevin (at least Kevin aged 20) canonically has a beloved poster of his favorite wrestler. He likes to collect snow globes, so I believe he'd have one from one of his trips to California with Sami. And I have a hunch there'd be a beloved teddy bear tucked in a corner somewhere.

Also canonically, Kevin's entire bedroom is PAINTED BLACK at that age. With black bedsheets. Oh man, what an emo boy.

I have to sit down and write a whole story this afternoon since I've been promising myself I would get a new story up each week to deal with rapidly fluctuating canon! I know exactly what I'm going to write, I just have to make the time. It's burning a hole in my head but I MUST finish grading first... with me luck! And I hope your writing is also going well!

Dick's room is bright and cheerful (of course!). He's got a poster of The Flying Graysons and Haly's Circus on his walls, and a music box of his mother's on the dresser. He's also got a small gem (looks like quartz) that has an inner fire from a far-off planet,a gift from Clark. Oh, my, lots more, but I'd better end here before I tell a whole story! :)

Oh, I love the touch of the gem, that's just right! And the music box! What a nice set of belongings that say so much about him (and it could totally be a whole story!)

Hmm, that would Ale, the heroine of my newest romance novel. Her preferred bedroom is small, about two paces by three paces, with armored walls and a door that's camouflaged from the outside which locks in about twenty ways on the inside.

Which is not what she's got. She's currently got (not that its shown up in the story yet) a lovely airy suite with a big sitting room with cushy chairs and couch, a private dining area, a huge bedroom with an enormous bed and a walk in closet that's larger than the entire bedroom she dreams of.

Ale is officially Not Happy About All This. *grin*

Her most cherished items are all knives the better to stab people with. And maybe her sleek black armored leather jumpsuit. Possibly her stompy-boots that can be used to break a man's thigh.

XD Can you tell I'm having fun with her? Eka, her love interest, basically took one look at Ale on all her cranky stabby glory and fell head over heels in love with her. Now I just have to find the time to write Eka convincing Ale that yes, they're serious (Eka's nonbinary intersexed in a SF sort of way) and then they have to deal with the political disaster brewing around them. That's going to be much fun!

Though I won't have time for it as tomorrow I'm off to a writing seminar for 10 days and I expect to be lucky to manage 250 words per day, much less whole chapters the way I want.

Though I won't have time for it as tomorrow I'm off to a writing seminar for 10 days and I expect to be lucky to manage 250 words per day, much less whole chapters the way I want.

I hope the seminar went great! I'm obviously way wayyyy behind, but I'm keeping up on the writing (mostly!) I'm trying to write an episode tag every week and that's keeping me busy enough for now (November is THE WORST in terms of busyness...)

The last thing I wrote was today's The Museum ficlet and usually I wouldn't be able to answer this. But today's ficlet is about a young werewolf searching his room for something, so I can answer it somewhat. There's clothes everywhere because he doesn't use the laundry hamper. One cherished item, that he's looking for, is a stuffed teddy (he intends on giving it to his baby sister).

Short story got a bit of a re-write. It's less slice-of-life and more how-they-met. I'd say I'm about halfway through the first draft right now.

I hope your grading went well! I managed to get my kimono presentation done and I even didn't freak out and cry when at the panel. XDD Everything went really well and all that stress is gone. It feels soooo good.

So of course that means I'm still procrastinating writing Thorki or SuperBat. =D

Saitou would be my last POV. I think he would have a very Japanese room, very minimal. It would probably be a shared room with his wife and children, or if he did have his own 'bedroom' due to working odd hours as a policeman and not wanting to disturb his family, it would probably double as a sitting room for guests.

Number one cherished item would probably be his katana, and then I always feel like he kept something from the Shinsengumi, maybe a personal gift from Kondou or Hijikata, something small like a comb. (I wrote that into one of my fics, so I'll go with it. lol) And then maybe something cherished from his wife, or an old kimono he can't let go of for whatever reason. So basically, lots of sad things. XD

ROOMS FULL OF LOTS OF SAD THINGS ARE THE BEST. For some reason it's the comb that really gets to me, it's so personal and intimate and small.

This is a weird question to answer for D&D characters because with the exception of Sian, none of them have permanent bedrooms!

Rorden will sleep in a shed, a stable, a barn, in the woods in a tent, anywhere. He prefers a small but cozy inn room. But he'll take what he can get. He makes sure wherever it is however that he's always sleeping with his dog - if the place doesn't allow indoor animals, it doesn't get an indoor Rorden. He'll sleep outside with Tover.

Sian's bedroom is one of the back rooms that customers cannot get to in the inn, on the second story, with a view of the sea (they live in a port town). He cherishes the porthole window and the view it gives him. He keeps a diary, a locket that belonged to his mother, and a trinket Lyrican carved for him as a child, all stashed there.

Mary sleeps in front of the massive roaring always-going fire in the Fairshadows' kitchen. They offered her a room but she doesn't want to take up a space that could go to their inn business. She sleeps in a bedroll. Her most cherished possession is on her at all times - her clothing is very common, even poor, and she paints her face like a savage, but she wears an ornate gemmed necklace with a cameo in the center that is way, way too expensive for her at a glance - it was her grandmother's.

I really like this image, it seems to suit her background really well! (Also, I approve of any house with a perpetual fire in the hearth!)

It is odd because fantasy-based characters seem so much less likely to have traditional "bedrooms" as such!
