--Whom does you most recent POV character most wish to please? Why?

Oh, Kevin wants to please his children more than anything. Both in the sense of spoiling them rotten but also in the sense of wanting then to admire and respect him. He's been known to attack people simply because his son admired them more than him. Yeah, he's not the best guy.

I had to write a LOT of nonfiction this week so fic was largely by the wayside! However, I'm about to buckle down and dedicate an hour or so to my latest story and see if I can push through. Hope your POV characters are pleasing to you and others this week! :)

Oh, that's a hard question. Except sort of not. No, yeah, it's a hard one.

You see, I'm still at the beginning of a new romance novel. Morgan, the current POV, just got divorced. So she's, on the surface, all about pleasing herself for the first time in four years.

But underneath she's already getting lonely and wanting someone else in her life. And hey, there's Quinn, her future love interest. So Morgan's buying her art supplies and taking her out to dinner and giggling madly at her pineapple on pizza causing wars jokes.

Morgan's just not aware that she's doing it. So yeah, hard question.

My word count has been lower due to heavy work demands, working on redoing my oldest stories (POD, covers, ebook formatting and cover blurbs for 18 stories) but I've managed to write every day, at least 500 words. Sometimes all you can do is seize the few minutes you have and run with them.

The best characters are the ones who aren't even aware of their own motivations, so that one sounds especially good!

My hour was wonderful! Sadly, there have been few others, as classes started and I think all I've been doing this week is prepping, teaching, or sleeping. I'm hoping to get into the rhythm of things a little better as the year settles into place!

If I had been writing Sanosuke, this would be an easy answer: Saitou. It's even canon that Sanosuke learned new fighting techniques to impress and prove himself to Saitou. But ah... I have been writing Saitou this week! He's tough; he's not personable. XD In a way, at least for my headcanon, Saitou wants to please his wife, to be a good father to his children. I think a lot of people that he had wanted to please are no longer alive...

I got some writing done this week! But uh. I'm not writing what I should be writing~ I can't help it that Saitou and Sanosuke are so compelling! And all the big pieces for costumes are done, it's the little accessories are left, and they aren't hard but... It's stressful seeing a fairly long list of things you want to get done in less than a week. XD

Oh my goodness, that's the saddest sentence right there. And I actually love writing characters who aren't that interested in pleasing others, it's fun to dig into what else might be motivating them...

I hope the long list of things has gotten somewhat shorter! Mind has not, but that's okay!

Isn't it so sad though??? I really like to write Saitou as a fairly sad, old soul. It's not that he is incapable of feeling happiness and warmth, it's just that he's seen too much change and loss. Loss of the culture he grew up in, loss of the people he grew so close to in the Shinsengumi.

I actually got a lot done for Comic Con but! We only went 2 days and I was okay with that. I was hurting really bad and needed a day off. XD It was also super cold, so costumes changed a bit, but it was okay. We still looked really good! =D (One day I will post my cosplay pictures, but hey, that's yet another thing that takes time. XD)

Rorden loves to please random strangers. He yearns to put smiles on faces and ease the burdens on shoulders. However, he fears developing permanent ties. Thus the wandering. But above all he just desperately wants to do some good for other people like him, people of the remote and downtrodden classes.

Until Kemaer waltzed back into his life, Sian likely would have answered his brother. Because things with Kemaer are still tense, he probably would *still* answer his brother.

For Mary, it's any member of the Fairshadow family, but since Sian is the one she's actively adventuring with (unless Lyrican joins the party which is possible because one of Tal's characters *might* be falling to the enemy), it would be him.

But above all he just desperately wants to do some good for other people like him, people of the remote and downtrodden classes.

And so of course the person he's most able to make happy with his love is fricking royalty, I love it.
