--What is your most recent POV character’s secret wish?

Oh, we're back to wrestler and awful person Kevin Owens again, huh? His wish that is even secret to himself is how much he yearns for his friend Sami to forgive him, and how much he wishes he could protect/cherish Sami. That he can't admit this wish to himself is exactly why he keeps lashing out at Sami and everyone else in the world.

I actually got a fair amount of writing done this week, so I'm feeling happy! I finished a story last week, posted a non-fiction essay this week and finished another story yesterday. Now I just need to get my beta to look at it before his business trip (doesn't he understand that packing is not as important as my PWP?) I hope all went well for you this week and you're more awake today than me (I stayed up until 2AM here in Japan to watch the Comey testimony...)

*laughs and laughs and laughs* Oh my goodness, I'm working on a SF story with parasitic brain worms out to consume all the intelligent races, starting with humanity. In particular with my POV character Eser. I don't think it's any surprise that Eser's secret wish is that there was someone, somewhere, who could make it all go away.

But there isn't so she's going to deal with it one way or the other. Just figuring out what ways will work is a challenge right now as the brain worms have made themselves very hard to kill and she's got a very hard deadline to solve the problem.

Yay for getting writing done! I'm on my 3 novels in 3 months challenge so I've done really quite well on the writing. Today was 4000 words and I've had over 2000 every day for the last two weeks. But part of that is that I have two family vacations in July so I REALLY need to get ahead on my writing. *scrambles hard for more words*

*grin* I always love when I'm working on stories with a very strong external crisis where the answer can be "I WISH I WEREN'T BEING ATTACKED BY ZOMBIES RIGHT NOW," you know? :)

Family vacations sound fun BUT potentially unfortunate for writing! I know you well enough to be pretty confident you'll be well ahead of the curve by then, though...

This would depend on the time in his life you asked him, for Dorian. As a child after his mother took him back, it would be to go back to his father's family and have a normal childhood. After meeting him, it was to run away with Dade. After Serathus entered his head, none of his wishes were secret, as his mind was laid bare to this invading force. At that point, he was always yearning to travel, to be anywhere and do anything but his appointed duty, but he didn't entertain the thoughts often, those were pretty heavily repressed wishes. And by the time Sander showed up, he'd argue that every possible wish he'd ever had was granted. And then double that for when they welcomed Dade and Mahir into the relationship. Thoughout the whole thing he wanted to be a father, and he eventually got that too :3

I confess I am very here for Dorian getting everything he ever wanted eventually. :D

And by the time Sander showed up, he'd argue that every possible wish he'd ever had was granted.
