I guess if your character is from a world/time with no movies, what's their favorite story in general? Mine is Kevin Owens, who is a noted badass and claims his favorite movie is--I think Die Hard? But he has a sentimental streak and secretly I suspect it's the original Beauty and the Beast or some really cute sappy animal movie, though he would never admit it.

*grin* I'm just about to start a new story, but for the last one it's the same series I was working on. I think Cyrille, the last POV I wrote, would say his favorite stories are those with adventure. At least he used to say that. Now that he is an adventurer, they've lost some of their shine. So he's more into historical stories, things that happened in the past, now.

XD I love that Kevin might love something other than Die Hard, especially Beauty and the Beast. That's awesome!

Good luck on your writing this week!

Since you clarified 'favorite story', I have to revise my first answer, since Dorian's favorite films to rewatch are concert films, not movies. In his limited physical media library, he has at least one DVD (and VHS from the before times!) of each of his favorite bands.

BUT. Actual story movies. One reason he doesn't enjoy those as much, unless he's watching them with others, is until the expulsion of Serathus, he's generally watching them with a snarky voice making consternated dragon commentary over the dialogue. So that would have ruined his viewing experience a bit. I imagine he might have headed that off by enjoying some MST3K, which already -comes- with snarky commentary, thus heading his angry dragon off at the pass a little (and it was broadcast in Norway and Sweden starting in 1998 according to IMDB, so he could have conceivably gotten a channel that carried it).

If he HAD to pick a favorite movie, it would probably be Rocky Horror Picture Show, but the art form just doesn't do as much for him as music does. He has a soft spot for Hammer horror films, but doesn't have a hard and fast favorite among them.
