Dec. 9th, 2016 11:46 amWhat pairing would you like to write for that you never have?
Hm, I can't think of many because almost everything I like I dabbled in at least a little! I've only glanced along Apollo/Midnighter and I'd like to write more of them. Same with Bruce/Selina, who I love but find hard to write.
How's your writing going this week? Mine has been very stalled--I've done some big Bang planning and forged ahead slowly on other things, but it's not really a writing-heavy time of year. I hope your writing life is more productive and your not-writing-life is relatively hassle-free!

Date: 2016-12-10 03:04 am (UTC)Writing has actually been going very well this week. I'm writing a gay romance novel set in Japan (largely) about a quartet of boys (yes, there will be sequels) who were visiting a park in the US (unstated but it was Glacier International in Montana because I grew up 20 miles from it) when a massive landslide wiped out the camping area and killed their families. Then, twenty-five years later one of the boys finds out he's the heir to a huge fortune in Japan and off they go to claim the inheritance, falling in love along the way with the lawyer who found them. So far most of the named characters are queer and I'm loving writing it.
The really cool thing is that I've not missed a single writing day since May 12th. Not one. I wrote at least 500 words every single day, even while on vacation in Japan.
Sadly the 47 Ronin travelogue died about two days in but I'm using all the pictures and notes I took to write the romance novel so it balances out. And I should be able to use the book to justify a tax write-off, so that's even better. :D
Good luck with your planning and writing!

Date: 2016-12-17 09:45 am (UTC)I'm so freaking impressed by 500+ words a day for seven solid months, that is so amazing.
I have to go spend an hour or so writing up a discussion of Donald Trump's tweets and their rhetorical purpose, oh boy. Well, if I can get some progress written I'll feel better at least! Nonfiction is so much slower going than fiction, especially when it's on a topic I don't enjoy thinking about...
