Wow, I'd forgotten how much fun it is to write short pieces--and how quickly I can put them in my "finished" folder when I don't have to make sure a multi-chapter plot holds together. This is very satisfying. I hope you are finding satisfaction in your writing this week as well!

--If you wrote a sequel to one of your stories, what would it be about?

I still very much want to write the sequel to a very old story where Clark was born female and meets Bruce as a teen. I know they meet up again before their caped versions appear and there's identity porn and glittering parties, but other than that I just don't know! If you could pick a story and have a sequel magically come to you, what would you go with?

*laughs hysterically* Oh man, where to start? I mean, even if I looked at fanfic, I've got a bunch-a-bunch of fanfics I'd love to have more of. The Left Behind Verse could always have more. I'd love to see more of the Twin Smallville verse but that's never going to happen. More of the Daddy verse where Tim is Bruce's biological son, more of the Vampire!Clark 'verse, more of Alliance with Slade/Tim... Jeez. Almost everything longer could be longer still.

And on the original fic side, well, I've got 5 more novels planned on the current Drath romance series, I want more Tindiere novels (at least 5 more there), more Tormal where I've got at least 6-9 books to write, a novel or three in the Mouse and Snake verse, Matriarchies of Muirin has 10-20 more novels if I include all the extended stories I want to tell, Debts to Recover as minimum 2 more novels, Eight Factors (my superhero verse) needs at least 1 but probably 3, and then there's the Second Chances mystery novel I never finished that I could easily write a series for, too.

I mean, I tell big stories. I break them into chunks that are more readable (and writeable!) but they're still really freaking big stories. It just seems to be the way my mind works. Easier to ask my what story I couldn't ever write a sequel to: The Collar. It is done and complete exactly as it is. And if I could ever figure out how to write an original version of it that filed the serial numbers off, I would because it's my most popular piece, period. That plus Snapshots are my two best 'sellers'.

Yours sounds awesome, I must say. I'd love to read that. :D And yes, short things can be very, very nice after long stuff for a while. ;)
