Posting from my phone because my computer is doing its best impersonation of a brick and I'm trying not to cry. There was... A lot of stuff on that computer.

I'm gonna be honest, this thread has not come at a great time for me, so I'm just going to post this and resist the temptation to be too negative (I've already erased like three whining posts!) Well, I can share the small and kind of amusing negative, at least, which is that I signed up for Season of Kink because it had a bunch of bingo card kinks I thought would be fun to write and got a card with not a one I was really jazzed to write. But that's the vagaries of bingo cards and at least it's lacking any kink that I really feel I COULD NOT write. I think I've already written every single one for superheroes, though--maybe Leather/Rubber? I mean, that's a...canon kink, right? :)

(Anyone else want to sign up? It looks fun! You can even choose two kinks to opt out of, so there's no fear of getting stuff that severely squicks you...)

Oh god! I think I'd scream. Though honestly I keep most of my writing on a zip drive (impact and water resistant) exactly because of those worries. I hope you manage to get it up and running again, sweetie! @__@

Well, at least the bingo card wasn't a wall of ugh? And yes, absolutely, Leather/Rubber is a canon kink for superheroes. Maybe not for wrestling though. Maybe? *grin* I think you just like canons where leather and/or rubber are totally plausible things for people to wear on a daily basis. ;)

Writing went well yesterday (3300 words!) and then was only 1000 words today due to work busy and getting this week's story up. But that's a trade I can deal with as this week's story is a super-cute lesbian romance set in my home town. So yay!

I did, thankfully, finish the third section of the current novel and now I'm into the (hopefully) final section of it which I expect to be... different. As the character I'm writing is (I think) gifted with clairvoyance and precognition. Maybe. Haven't started writing that POV yet so I don't know for sure. And they're nonbinary so I'll be fighting pronouns the whole way. *shrug* I never do set myself small challenges, I guess.

Either way, I'm hoping to have it done in the next week or so. It's been a fun book to write but I'm ready for something else now. *grin* Which means I've hit the 3/4 point for sure as I'm always ready for it to be done at that point.

My husband spent some time tinkering on my computer and it seems to be running okay again! I keep all my fic on Google Drive so at least I don't have to totally freak out about that! I moved all my work stuff and I feel a little better now... (I actually feel a lot better mentally, so that's good!)

Seriously, superheroes and wrestling are two of the damn kinkiest canons in the world. Wrestlers have a lot of leather masks and gloves, and my card also includes blood play, impact pain play, submission--I mean, all explicit in canon, lol. CRAZINESS.

And wow, that novel does sound like a challenge--and I'm cracking up at the idea that your character MIGHT be clairvoyant but you don't know! AND nonbinary, you don't set the bra low. :) I hope it's going great!
