What part of one of your current WiPs was hardest to write?

Oh God, when it comes to Heroes of the Squared Circle, it's definitely going to be the ending that's looming right in front of me. This HUGE messy AU with so many loose ends, and so much build that the conclusion will never be satisfactory. I'm approaching it like a porcupine. A venomous porcupine. That's clutching a piece of TNT. BUT I got a happy parallel while working on it last night and that gave me renewed energy, the sentences flew by for a while. I was pleased.

What's been hardest for you? And how has your writing gone?

I think that the hardest part of my current WIP is that the characters' diction is VERY different from mine. Also, there's a nonbinary character who uses they/theirs pronouns and I keep typing he/his and having to go back and fix it. Which is a bother, to say the least.

But it's a fun book so far, even if on Saturday I'll have to stop writing it for the duration of my workshop. Which I'm getting nervous about now. *bites nails* Might be why I've been writing so much lately--to distract myself.

Different diction is tough! Superheroes have always been relatively easy (as long as it's not a scene where they have to be smarter than me) but writing modern male athletes is...more of a challenge. They swear a LOT, and coming from Clark Kent to that is whiplash-inducing.

I hope the workshop goes great! It sounds like a fun challenge!
