mithenNew Year's Eve here in Japan! This final week of the year I'll ask how your 2021 was in writing and what you hope to accomplish in 2022.
2021 wasn't fantastic for me in writing--I dabbled in some freelance writing but discovered that dealing with the process took more time and energy than I had. Not even the editing so much, but the having to put myself out there and figure out when to push and when to not be pushy. I think I could make a go of it if it were my full-time job, which is good to know, but my paying job absorbs way too much of my time to make it possible.
In 2022 I'd really like to write something fanficcy, but I already know that my plate is going to be pretty loaded with job-related things for the near future. I edit the university academic journal, and I didn't get enough submissions to publish anything unless I add something, so... I guess a comparison of Q: Into the Storm and Get Back as examples of narrative framing in documentaries it is! Wish me luck!
