I missed this last week due to busy times! But good busy times--I've gotten a lot of work done on an exchange story this week and it's felt good, which is bonus. I'm just a few paragraphs away from done with a standalone DC story, which feels really good. How has the last week or so been treating you?

Hey, welcome back! :D

I've been both good busy and bad busy. The bad is an audit at work (4 full days) that was moved up from the end of February to next week. So we're scrambling to be ready for it.

The good is that I'm at the dramatic conclusion to my steampunk novel. It's up to 41K and still growing. I think I have 4-5 chapters left, depending on how the action at the conclusion goes. Today I discovered at tiny little robot (that I'm totally picturing as Wall-E) is in charge of the Clockwork Rift and Esme has to convince it to help her save all the worlds, not just their world. :D

And yes, it's always a good feeling when you get lots of writing done and it's going well. Especially that last bit where you're driving towards the end.

Ahhhhh! That sounds awesome. Is it a very innocuous-looking robot that turns out to have a lot more power than one would think? That is the best.

I'm still soooo close to the endings on two different things! Inching there--it feels a lot like Zeno's Paradox right now, where I always get halfway closer to the end. :P I have some time in the morning tomorrow, though, so I'm hoping to get them both polished up before the next open thread! *crosses fingers*
