A Yuletide treat is almost done! I'm hoping to mayyyybe get two treats written...but I have to face the reality that if I do, I may miss my "soft deadline" for posting a chapter. I've never gone more than 20 days without updating a series until this month and I'm trying not to feel guilty about dropping the ball--first one one series, and now maybe on the other. *sighs* Having them both winding down simultaneously (by sheer coincidence) is not helping.

So...writing is getting done, but not necessarily on what it should be, and I'm suffering pangs of holiday stress-guilt! How's productivity going for you guys? This is not the best time of year for it, I know...

Well, absolutely no writing has happened, as expected. On the other hand, it's very likely I passed my class with flying colors so it's all good. I passed all the in-class participation stuff and I was the second person done with the test (mostly due to getting the '30 minutes left!' notice and thinking I had two pages of questions left when there was only one.)

I would be writing today, despite still being in Vegas with my husband, but I got a notice from Kobo that they're going to shut down all loading of new books on the 21st so I have to get the New Year's Eve story formatted and uploaded today. Tomorrow at the latest. It's apparently a normal thing they do but I wasn't publishing direct to Kobo the last couple of years so I had no idea.

Thus scrambling to format! Amidst buffet meals and too much walking the strip with aching blistering feet. Nice mix of yay, ow and yum this week.

Next week, thankfully, will be better.

Yay, ow, and yum indeed! That's quite a mix--and although it's too bad about the lack of writing, things sound like they were busy in good ways (I hope things have been more quiet since you posted this, though!)
