--what is the best time of day for you to write, and why?

Anytime I'm not sleepy (lately that's a lot of the time!). That's most likely to be in the mid-morning and in the early evening. But I can write just about anytime!

I've dedicated two hours this afternoon (it's my morning now, time zone shenanigans) for writing and am looking forward to it! Things have been going pretty smoothly, but some dedicated writing time would be a real gift... How about you? I hope whenever works best for you, you have a lot of free time to write!

*laughs* Whenever I can get more than 5 minutes at a time. Generally, I get more writing done when I'm at work, between 9:00 and 10:00 (no one around due to meetings) and 4:00 to 4:30 (due to my boss going home around 3:30 every day and most of the office being gone at that time). Outside of work, like on vacations, mornings tend to be better but really, anytime I can get more than 5 minutes will work. I've sort of trained myself to write in 5-15 minute chunks, whenever I get the chance. It's the only way to get things written for me.

Good luck with your two hours! I was hopeful that I'd finish taking notes on a class I'm auditing and then get some writing time today (and tomorrow and this weekend) but my hubby just sprained his ankle mowing the grass so.... Not so sure I'll have any time. *sad sigh* He's not the best about being injured or ill, I'm afraid. It's not all that bad, not purple or anything (yet) but he needs a lot of attention.

I'll work on it though, stealing my 5-15 minutes at a time. *wry smile* I just think they're going to be more rare than expected this weekend. *shrug*

The day I set aside this week as my writing day went astray because Tal had to go to the hospital and everything went into Emergency Mode. He's fine, the details can be found on our tumblrs, but now we're in Recovery Mode, which is not conducive to writing either. I napped for 3 hours today - I never, ever nap.

Anytime I'm not sleepy (lately that's a lot of the time!).

Same, I have to plan my writing to defeat my internal clock. My prime 'mentally awake' time is taken up by my work shift now with the 'new' schedule, so writing, which used to be an all week thing, has become a thing for days off or workdays when I wasn't too wiped out.
