I finished my Yuletide fic yesterday, whooo! Telling myself I had to finish it before posting this actually helped a lot, too. Now I just need my beta to find some time and it's ready to be posted! On to treats! After I finish my hours of class prep, boooo.

My favorite character in non-comics canon is back after a seven-month absence and I'm in a good mood! I hope this week has been good for you as well!

This has been a good week. Not so much for writing, but in terms of feeling like a valuable and productive human being. My brain is also switching back on to subjects that I have been struggling with (the rules of D&D 5e). I would say that yay maybe I'm finally recovering from all that happened this year, but every time I've had that optimism before, however cautiously, it has proven false, so...just the yay I guess.

Hee! I saw the post about Sami. I'm glad he's back, for your sake since I don't do the wrestling thing.

This has been a pretty good week overall. I write about 1800 words since last Thursday, all on the new novel. It's flying right along though I'm not sure I'll get any more writing time this month after tomorrow. The holidays suck for writing, sadly.

Plus next week I have that class in Las Vegas so I expect to be utterly brain drained and incapable of more than surfing the net and maybe reading a little after class. I mean, I'll try to write. I just don't expect more than a couple hundred words total for the week.

But after that I'm off until the new year so it's not all bad. I'll just have to deal with the hubby stealing all my attention instead of work doing it. *laughs*

Yeah, that'll do it. I'm just scrounging a few hundred words here and there--though the Yuletide fic is betaed and posted, whoo! And I'm about 700 words into a treat and really enjoying it. I wanted to write a treat for each letter in this fandom, but that might be a little too ambitious for me this year. Still, I should be able to manage two or three...

Ahhh, time off until the new year sounds really good and I hope you can enjoy it! The holidays are always so brutal--and there's all sorts of work stuff revolving around the end of the year here too, whew. Better to have hubby stealing attention than work in my book, though!

Pfft, I just realized that I had a typo. Not 1800, 18,000 words. Big difference. *groan*

But yeah, next week is going to be ugh.

I do agree about the hubby--he's just way better at distracting me unpredictably than work is. ;)

THAT TYPO OMG. "dying" As you can see, I'm soooo far behind on everything that I didn't even post an Open Thread on Christmas, I figured people wouldn't mind if I took a week to try and catch up a little bit. I did write four Yuletide treats, so that's not bad (and they've gotten some wonderful feedback, so that's extra-not-bad!)

I hope you're enjoying the holidays and your husband isn't distracting you TOO much!
