--Inspiration, time, or motivation. Choose two.

Eeeeek. In general I would choose what I actually have, which is inspiration and motivation. I'll write in the scraps of time I can find here or there, I'll write a sentence at a time, tapped out on my phone while waiting in line for groceries (a situation I experienced this week!) if I must, but without the other two what's the point? Certainly I would like more time too, though! :) How about you, what's your ideal and what do you actually have recently?

This choice is my personal life hell. I never have them all. Though, given the choice, I would go for inspiration and time, because at least I would be happy with fun fantasies of the characters and plot - motivation and time but no inspiration and inspiration and motivation but no time are things I've lived and they clash really really poorly with my mental illnesses. Inspiration + time leaves me feeling guilty, but the other two are a whole new level of miserable.

Currently I have motivation and time and inspiration, but I'm missing a 3rd thing, mental capacity. I'm hoping it's temporary. Because it's terrifying to have my brain, which has always worked to do this thing, suddenly not work no matter how I push.

Inspiration and Time. Always. I don't necessarily need the motivation given that I've built some pretty solid habits of writing every day. (I think I might be cheating on the answer but I'm still standing with it)

My ideal would be all three, of course, but I really would pick inspiration and time every single time.

I've given myself all three this week though time's the biggest challenge. I decided to try a scaled down version of a challenge Dean Wesley Smith (one of the pro writers I follow) set for himself. He wrote 31 stories in 31 days in July and actually got 32 done. I'm trying to write 7 stories in 7 days, starting Monday. So far I have four stories done which is like awesome and stunning. I didn't expect to succeed this well.

The downside is that I haven't gotten anything ready to publish this week but hey, writing is good.

Hope you manage to corral time, inspiration and motivation to get lots of writing done this week!
