I think most of my research so far has been on Thunderbird myths in the different Native American tribes in the Kansas area (which has been fun!) I love that touch from the Gaslight series that Clark is connected to the Thunderbird and was in some way mentored by Black Condor (and I also learned there have been three Black Condors and the first two were white guys!)
What research have you been doing, whether it's into illnesses, flowers, New York or Edwardian times?

It was like a line of dominoes falling: one country declared war, an ally supported them, the opponent's ally declared war, and so on. What a mess, especially when you consider the carnage to come.
Unexpected discoveries? Possibly the intricacy of the alliances that led to World War I. I was aware of the alliances, but they sure were interlocking! Washington was right about entangling alliances. 😎

Date: 2026-05-14 05:43 am (UTC)I've been looking into flowers for my hanahaki fic, but also lately, I've been researching Russian love quotes and poetry. I have gotten into Heated Rivalry in these past few months and I had this idea for a (very self indulgent) social media fic where one half of the ship (who is Russian canonically) is pining after the other while he's dating someone else and is randomly posting quotes.
