Favorite deleted scene from your current WiP?

I don't usually delete much (it's fic! It's fun to leave everything in!) but I did actually have to adjust something in the book I'm working on, because a scene that I had described actually took place like three months before I thought it did, so I had to re-write! In the end, I think this one worked better, but I did like some of my descriptions of the older version. Here's hoping you haven't had to delete much!

Well, it's not so much deleted as in the wrong place. After writing it out I realized my error and set it aside until I could insert it in the right place.

I'm not sure why I did such a stupid thing but chalk it up to food poisoning and the resulting muzzy-headedness. Sheesh!

I've had that happen! Just... eventually realized that for the scene to happen, it HAD to come after certain events. I'm always afraid I won't catch something like that because I just know all the details in a whole, you know?

Yes! We writers know what's in our characters' heads, but it's up to us to communicate that clearly to the reader.

I'm like you - I don't really delete much either so I can't think of one off the top of my head. There are scenes I didn't end up writing when I changed the direction of my role reversal fic - it would've been fun to write a few "Lois in college" scenes or when Lois met Wonder Woman/them discovering each other's identities but that was the extent of it. I do think that the story worked better the way I did it though.
