Not sure, since I write on Google Docs too and I usually just keep going back while I'm writing to edit. My current WIP is my Clois role reversal fic and I would go with two there because I started it writing Lois's childhood and going from there but I felt there was too much summarizing so I left it and started over, this time beginning with her as an adult getting the Daily Planet job. It was easier to write and I was able to squeeze some of those old scenes in a flashback/references.
