superhero_muses--If you could write with any author, living or dead, famous or not, who would you want to work with, and what would the project be like?
Ooof, that's a tough one. Most of the professional authors I admire most are not people I think I'd want to spend any time around, to be totally honest.
Maybe LeGuin, if she were still alive. I'd love to write a series of short stories revolving around the concept of the sedoretu marriage system (four-person marriages with a complex system of required and prohibited sexual relationships). I think she might be able to curb the worst of my romantic excesses, and I would... uh, I can't think of anything I would bring to the table to improve LeGuin, but maybe by talking about it I could give her some new ideas!
I finished my non-fiction piece and sent it in, and the editor hasn't responded at all. I know she's dealing with COVID right now, and that I took much longer than I had hoped to submit it, so... maybe the window has just closed on it. I hope not.
