It's so ahrd when the sex scene doesn't want to work for you. Soem readers want them against all odds but I agree that "obligatory sex scene written without enthusiasm" is something better skipped if you don't feel like it. Maybe the beta feedback will give you an idea or maybe you can straighten the emotional arcs or details in a way that makes it all fit with the fade to black! Best of luck with it!

Currently I have two WIPs in the cooker. One developed as a one shot that invovled one scene fitting a very random and slightly craky prompt into something that I realizedcould be intersting as a close to canon fusion thing. And after canon review that clicked so it became much longer than expected and I'll have a small sequel for it in the works.
