superhero_muses--Which fic has been the hardest to write?
That's pretty easy to answer--"The House of the Earth," because it's an AU with slavery and you would not BELIEVE (no, you may well believe) how many bone-headed things that minimized historical slavery or made the story all about the angst of the poor slaveowner my beta caught and rooted out. It was very painful at times, and I really ended up doubting myself a lot. I think it ended up being a good story, but wow, was there some painful/valuable soul-searching in it.
As for writing this week, there hasn't been a lot. Just too much work stuff, getting home at 8 or 9 every day doesn't lend itself to creativity very well. I maintain a sort of "bank" of time that I reward myself with once I have some free time, and I'm up to about four hours now. When to find time to "spend" it, that's the question... But when I do grab a little time, things are going well! I hope the same is true for you!
