--Do you desire to be published or make writing your profession? Why or why not?
Not at all, not in any way. For starters, I have a profession that I quite like. Writing is what I do for fun when my profession stresses me out. If writing were to become my job, it would be a job--I'd have to self-promote, to worry about whether I needed to change what I write or how I write it in order to pay the bills, etc. Then I'd have to find some OTHER hobby to escape from the stress of my writing profession! No, it's simpler this way. :)
I haven't gotten a lot of writing done simply because classes start next week, so...lots of prep time lost there. There's a good chance I won't be teaching any graduate school classes this year, though, which would free up an extra five or so hours a week, that would be a real gift. *crosses fingers* How are things going with you?
