After meeting him, it was to run away with Dade. After Serathus entered his head, none of his wishes were secret, as his mind was laid bare to this invading force. At that point, he was always yearning to travel, to be anywhere and do anything but his appointed duty, but he didn't entertain the thoughts often, those were pretty heavily repressed wishes. And by the time Sander showed up, he'd argue that every possible wish he'd ever had was granted. And then double that for when they welcomed Dade and Mahir into the relationship. Thoughout the whole thing he wanted to be a father, and he eventually got that too :3
