Open Thread: Oracle Hotline

What are your top two most used additional tags, and your bottom two? What would happen if you combined all of these into a fic?

If you're not on AO3, I guess what themes tend to crop up a lot in your work!

My two most common are:
Humor (55)
First Kiss (33)

And the two bottom of my top ten (so still pretty common!) are:
Reunions (13)
Slice of Life (9)

Put them together, and you get...a pretty typical story for me, in which Clark is presumed dead, but comes back (early on, so it avoids angst and stays funny) and Bruce probably asks him out on a date and gets super-nervous and muffs it all up, but the evening ends on a kiss.

Writing has been close to non-existent since I'm on the road and with family, but I am managing a bit here and there! With any luck I'll post the next chapter of my movieverse fic tonight...it's a day late from my personal deadline, but I figure it's been such a chaotic month I'm allowed a day's leeway...

Well, I still have no idea how you check tags and such on AO3. I've poked it a few times and just no clue. Oh well.

But my favorite tropes tend to be pretty consistent whether I'm writing fanfic or original fic. I love found family and people falling in love. Time Travel as a 'fuck this I'm changing EVERYTHING G-DAMNIT' is my kryptonite, though I've never written it. Huh... I wonder if I could do an original fic that way. No, wait! I did! That's The Crumbling of the Soul! *laughs*

Man, I really am consistent. XD

I've finally started picking up speed again which is really nice. The SF Romance series I'm working on is a blast. I'm getting a little better at balancing the action and SF elements against the need for the romance to dominate. At least I think I am. Its fun and I feel like I'm learning as I do it so it's good.

Good luck on your writing! Getting any writing while on the road is such a challenge. *roots for you*
