Hmm, that's a tough question since my latest book is eating my brain alive and I love it to pieces. I think the thing I like least at this moment is people (and work, darn that work!) interrupting the writing of it.
This is the best worst thing ever. I love it. But yeah, I can also see worrying about the balance of romance to SF--romance is one of those genres that has a lot of pretty specific narrative patterns that have to be followed and really shapes the rest of it. I like that a lot of the time but if you want to do worldbuilding it can be a struggle.
The stories are coming along well, yay! I've set aside an hour to dedicate to one of them today--in an example of having fun switching milieu, I was never able to easily write a "handcuffed together" prompt for Clark and Bruce (the world's strongest man and the world's best escape artist!) Even if I made it magic and unbreakable, because of who they are they always insisted on dealing with it rather than giving up and trying to get by and all the hijinks that come with that. So yay for new tropes! :D
