--Of the different senses (sound, smell, taste, sight, touch) which do you most enjoy writing and which do you struggle with? Do you have an example of either of them from your recent work?
I think most people find sight the easiest, and I tend to as well. I often have to force myself to remember to include smell, taste, and touch because they can be such a challenge to communicate! Wrestling is an extra challenge because taste and touch are not generally part of the experience of watching wrestling, and I don't have any first-hand knowledge of how it physically feels to wrestle. I kind of have to guess at things like aches and pains and impacts!
I've decided (perhaps inevitably) that I need a little interlude before the final chapter... there's a bunch of things that happen that aren't part of the main story but are essential to describe in order to set up the main story. I'm almost done with that, though, so wish me luck for writing this weekend!
