mithen--Where do you find inspiration? Books/Movies, music, aesthetics, people/places?
Besides the obvious inspiration of the canon for fanfic, I've been known to lift plot structures from things like Hardy Boy mysteries or Regency romances as a starting point! They tend to get changed a lot in the process of changing the characters to superheroes, but it can be a really handy thing to get the ball moving.
I hope all is going well with you and your writing! I have to tackle a set of non-fiction pieces but I haven't had the time to focus on them, and canon is being distinctly un-inspiring right now (not comic book canon, which is actually pretty great!) so it's not a very productive time... Hope it's better for you!
