mithen--Have you always wanted to be a writer?
Not really! Well, sort of? But I honestly never thought of it as a possibility for a very, very long time. It just wasn't in my range of imagining until I was thirty or so! It took me a long time to really understand that you became a writer just... by writing.
I got nonfiction writing done this week, including a passage I'm very pleased with, and I think I'm only a few paragraphs away from done with this essay I've been working on since... July? I think July. I want to get it published specifically on Dec. 11, the five-year anniversary of an important date in the essay, and I think that might be possible? We'll see how the beta and the illustrating goes...
