I agree with you. I like a perfect blend: Clark grew up human, has nurtured a desire to be human, but he's always aware of his difference.

I am sure there are days he would like to chuck the responsibility, but he would miss his powers, too.

Clark is biologically Kryptonian but emotionally human. He honors his Kryptonian heritage but his heart is with Earth.
