mithen--How does your most recent POV character want to be seen by others?
Oh, Clark! He wants to be seen as "normal" as much as possible--that's probably one of Clark's flaws, come to think of it, that yearning to be seen as a "normal person" as defined pretty rigidly. It's something that has to be gotten past in most versions of his story... As Superman, Clark wants to be seen as helpful and unthreatening. So many of his canon nightmare visions are of people being terrified of him.
Who are you writing and how do they want to be seen this week?
